M. Chinnaswamy cricket stadium will also host two matches of Celebrity Cricket League 2016, one of the two games will be played between Chennai Rhinos and Veer Marathi and the other match is schedule to be played between Karnataka Bulldozers and Bengal Tigers and these two matches will be played on 24th January, 2016 and the tickets are also available for this venue.

The M.Chinnaswamy Stadium is located in Bangaluru Karnataka and this sporting venue is one of the charming cricket stadiums in India. The stadium is situated between Queen’s Road and MG Road and heart of the city of Bangalore.
This stadium was known as “Karnataka State Cricket Association” (KSCA), but later the cricket stadium was renamed in tribute to M. Chinnaswamy who served KSCA for 4 decades and also was the president of the BCCI for three years 1977 to 1980.
Bangalore’s cricket stadium has the sitting capacity of 40,000 and beside the regular host of Test, ODI and first class cricket matches; the stadium is also used for political, musical and cultural events. This cricket stadium is also the home ground of IPL’s team Royal Challenger Bangalore.
This stadium is currently property of Karnataka Government and been leased out to the KSCA for 99 years’ period. The 1st test match was played in 1974 when the West Indian team toured India, but before that M. Chinnaswamy stadium hosted first class test cricket match in 1972-73.
The very 1st One-Day match was played in 1982 between India and Sri Lanka where Sri Lanka lost the match by 6 wickets. The first floodlights were installed in the stadium for World Cup 1996, first match under floodlights was played traditional enemies India and Pakistan and that was a quarter-final match in which India defeated Pakistan by 39 runs in a thrilling encounter.
This is the same stadium which was used to serve Miss World contest in 1996. Board of Control of Cricket India has chosen this stadium as the centre for the National Cricket Academy in 2000 and from then, the academy has passed out too many talented cricketers.
Chinnaswammy stadium is also got painted seats like others in first season of Indian Premier League and seats were painted with red and yellow colors which are the RCB and Karnataka’s flag colors.
